IVM Answering Attendant Software

Complete telephony solution for Windows

IVM is a telephone answering machine, voice mail, call attendant, and interactive voice response (IVR) program for Windows. It connects to the phone using a standard voice modem, professional telephony board or even directly to a VoIP service.

This software is an effective voicemail, call attendant, info-line, audiotext or autodial solution for small to medium businesses. For example, IVM can redirect in-coming calls during office hours or act as a PC answer machine and take messages for a number of voice mail boxes after hours. All calls (including those answered by you) are logged with date, time and caller ID. The recorded messages can be played at any time, forwarded to an email address, accessed via the internet or, if necessary, saved for future reference.

IVM can also be used very simply as a computer answering machine. Just run the install file on your PC and it will be ready to answer calls. But, when you are ready, you can explore the advanced key response and programming options to create a sophisticated telephone interactive response system. You will find many exciting ways to use IVM to provide information, serve your customers and save time.

A full description of IVM follows but a quick way to try it out is to download and install now. You don't need to purchase to download and it only takes a couple of minutes to complete the process (click here to install). After you have tested IVM and found it to be suitable, you can purchase a location license (click here to purchase).

Phần mềm ghi âm TRx Phone Recorder

Computer Phone Call Recording Software for PC and Mac

TRx is a phone call recording program for Windows and Mac OS X. This phone recording software allows you to manually record telephone calls and can also work as a caller ID display system as well as allowing you to put calls on-hold and play on-hold messages or music.

Designed for call centers, businesses and home use the TRx is simple to install and easy to use. Just connect the telephone line through a voice modem, a telephony card or with a call recording adapter (see below) and you’ll be ready to record telephone calls in just minutes.

All calls are recorded with caller ID details (where available) and logs can be viewed and printed for your records. Recordings are automatically archived and can be searched through the "Find & Play" option by Date, Time and Duration. The built in on-hold feature lets you put calls on-hold and play set messages and music to play while they wait.

Is this the right call recording software?
TRx was designed for business call centers where a copy of TRx is installed on each workstation and connected to each telephone using a Handset Call Recording Connector, voice modem or professional telephony board. It can also be used in a similar way in other businesses or at home when you need to manually record one line.

For automatic recording or to record more than 1 telephone line on the same computer at the same time, the VRS Call Recorder software is required (Windows only). To download the VRS see the VRS Multiline Automatic Call Recording System. Also see Call Recording Software for a general overview of all the options available for recording phone calls.

If your are installing TRx to play on-hold messages but have a telephone system (PBX) you may need to separately install the IMS On Hold Messages Player.

Voice Recording Software - System Requirements

Computer Requirements

  • Pentium 1GHz or above
  • Windows 95/NT4/98/2000/Me/2003/XP/Vista

Sound Recording Hardware Requirements

Audio for VRS can be from any of the following sound devices:
  • The standard computer sound in (1 channel only). Just plug the audio source in.
  • The standard computer sound in split to 2 mono channels. Buy a simple Y cable from your local electronics to wire 2 mono sockets to a stereo plug. Then using Channel Properties assign one channel to "left mono" and the other to "right mono".
  • Multiple sound cards in one PC. Depending on slots and resources you can install up to 3 sound cards in one PC. Each stereo input can be split (ie. a total of 6 inputs). This requires a bit more technical work than a multichannel card (next).
  • Multiple channel sound cards. There are many multichannel sound cards on the market today. See our Recommended Hardware Page to find links. The VRS Recording System can be setup to use these channels. You can probably also install multiple devices to get more channels (check with the manufacturer first).
  • USB sound devices. USB devices usually can be used with a hub to connect many devices to one PC. Most modern USB sound devices let you do this (but check with the manufacturer before purchasing). Stereo devices can be split (see above).
  • Professional Telephony Boards [for Call Recording]. Both CAHTA and CURL make these in 2,4 and 8 line versions. CAHTA also offers a 2 or 4 line USB device. See Telephony Boards for more information. The boards cost more but include multichannel sound, caller ID, hardware control and telephone connection in one turn-key unit.

Call Recording Requirements
[Phone Recording Only]

If you want to use VRS to record calls you need either:
  • Call Recording Adapters (one for each line). In USA or Canada, Radio Shack (Tandy) supply a FCC approved unit for $US22 (cat no. 43-228A or 43-1236). But there are many better quality units available. You can also order these types of connectors online using the links from Call Recording Hardware
  • A Professional Multiline Telephony Board. Both CAHTA and CURL make these in 2,4 and 8 line versions. CAHTA also offers a 2 or 4 line USB device. See Telephony Boards for more information. The boards cost more than the call recording adapters but includes multichannel sound, caller ID, hardware control and telephone connection in one turn-key unit.
  • Also see Call Recording Scenarios for examples of some different approaches you can take to recording calls.
There are some other options (both for sound devices and call recording. Click here for more options.

Note: No hardware is required for recording Voice Over IP (VoIP) phone calls directly over the network (eg. calls made with Express Talk SIP Softphone).

Download VRS Audio Recording Software
The software can be downloaded by clicking on one of the following links. Once downloading is complete, run the file which will automatically setup the software. The complete manual is included. Once you have run the setup file, select the Help Contents item from the Help menu for a guide to using the VRS Recording System.

VRS Recording System - Purchase and Registration
VRS must be licensed for each installation at a specified location where it will be used. To purchase a license and obtain a registration key by credit card, please use the VRS Recording System - Pricing Info and Online Purchase page.
